Endometrial Lining Scan
If you are undergoing IVF treatment in the UK or abroad, your fertility clinic may request that you have an endometrial lining scan.
The endometrial lining scan is performed to assess the appearance and measure the thickness of the endometrial lining prior to embryo transfer.
This scan is usually performed trans-vaginally for best results. This scan can be performed trans-abdominally, although the measurements will not be as accurate.
Your fertility clinic will advise you when you should have this scan completed, but typically, it would take place on day 9 of your cycle.
You will receive the following;
- Scan to measure the thickness and assess the appearance of the endometrium
- A Report and supporting images sent via secure email to forward to your clinic
