COVID-19 UPDATES & Information regarding your visit to Early Life Ultrasound Centre

Please find below information with regard to your visit to Early Life Ultrasound Centre.

We have some special measures in place to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These measures are there to protect you and staff.  Lets take care of each other...

During periods of national lockdown or if Cheltenham enters TIER 4 we are only able to offer early pregnancy ultrasound scans, NIPT appointments or appointments where the primary purpose of the scan are to check the growth & well-being of your baby.

Please could you NOT attend for a period of 14 days if;

You have a loss of taste or smell, you feel unwell OR You have been in contact with someone who feels unwell  Thank you.

You will receive a "Health Agreement" via email before your appointment to confirm a few details with regard to symptoms and contacts.

Prior to your appointment we will send THREE documents that will need to be completed prior to your visit.

  1. A health agreement/Risk assessment  form
  2. A consent form for you to consent to an examination
  3. Your invoice for the remaining balance.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could complete these documents prior to your attendance to help us to minimise contact during your visit.

During your visit

It is important that you attend on time, so that we can ensure that people are not sharing the space and, so that we can clean down before each attendance. The appointment times have been widened even more than usual so that we don't get any crossovers of  families from different households. Basically, you'll get the whole clinic to yourself during your visit.

We ask that you leave any belongings at home. A box will be provided on entry should you be carrying anything on your person. After items are placed into the box or hung up on the coat stand, we will ask you to sanitise your hands and you will be given a mask each to wear, unless you have your own. You may also be asked for your temperature to be taken using a non-contact infrared thermometer.

Who can attend with me?

We are only able to see one couple (mum-to-be and partner) at any one time.

During your appointment, you will be the ONLY clients in the building. We have tall transparent screens in place for everyone to sit behind. This means that you CAN bring your partner. We are sorry that we can't accept children at the moment but we are watching the situation and as the pandemic shrinks or grows then we will adapt accordingly.

The scan room is quite large so we can also enable social distancing guidelines.

Please respect this, as we do not wish to disappoint but, if more people than specified are in attendance then, our staff  reserve the right to refuse entry and ask you return at another time, or ask extra guests to wait in the car.

What if I arrive early?

If you arrive early please call to see if the clinic is clear and if not, please wait in your car until the time of your appointment.

As soon as you arrive, you will be asked to use the sanitiser and masks will be given to you and your visitor on arrival.

We have special air sanitisers in both the waiting area and scan room as well as the required ventilation and screens.

Staff will be in full PPE and we have installed screening for your safety and the safety of our staff.

Before you attend for your appointment, we will request payment via our online system to minimise any contact during your visit.

A part from these measures we will do everything as normal. We very much hope that you enjoy your visit to Early Life Ultrasound Centre and feel rest assured that we will take every precaution to maintain your safety during your visit. Thank you.
